David saw a beautiful Fender Telecaster in red with gold fittings. He decided to try to find one, without success. When buying the Jim Reed Strat, he also saw a red Tele which was similar to what he wanted.
Again, it has a nice flamed maple top, but had chrome fittings. The quest for gold started...... He managed to replace everything with gold hardware and upgraded it to Fender electronics at the same time.
Although it's a bit of a girly guitar - you have to admit - it looks great!
